What is Motion Analysis? |
| |
Motion Analysis is defined
as a 3D representation of a live performance.
Why Motion Analysis?
Sports motion analysis can
go hand in hand with sports medicine and the prevention
of injuries. Motion Analysis provides the tools
for sports medicine and performance professionals
to perform accurate and functional evaluations/analyses
for performance enhancement and injury prevention.
Data collected from motion analysis provides valuable
information for coaches, trainers, therapists, and
physicians in developing and designing treatment
methods, training methods, and rehabilitation protocols.
Motion Analysis can provide specialized analyses
of physical fitness characteristics and sports technique
in an effort to assist the athlete in improving
their mechanical efficiency and performance.

A single motion analysis session can pinpoint the
aspects of the athlete’s fitness or technique
that may be limiting their performance as well as
the effects of fatigue, structural limitations,
and load carriage on various aspects of human motion
and biomechanical efficiency. |
